Kathleen - so very sorry to hear about Jerry. I had no idea until today and was deeply saddened by the news. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family and Jerry will remain forever in my heart.

Gerald Leo's Obituary

BURCH, GERALD LEO, SR.,

83, of Louisville died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at his home with his wife of 60 years by his side.

 He retired from John Martin Distributors and the Jefferson County Sherriff's Office.  He was a member of St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church and the Deputy Sherriff's Lodge FOP #25.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson Burch II and Lillian May Heun Burch.

 He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian K. "Kathleen" Ising Burch; children, Pamela Garr (Russell), Gerald L. "Mickey" Burch, Jr. (Leslie), Dana Burch, Kimberly Labreche (Gilles) and William "Bill" Burch; grandchildren, Russell Garr, Jr. (Niki), Nikki Phillips (Chad), Zachary Garr (Meagan), Wesley Garr (Layla), Jeremy Burch, Rachael Burch, Justin Burch, Tara Tyra, Chaz Tyra, Bridget Tyra, Scott Tyra, Clayton Williams, Megan Fink (Clayton) and Sara Burch; great grandchildren, Alexis Garr, Rylee and Ryker Phillips, Reagan Garr, Talan Tyra-Hammond, Aubrey Tyra Schmitt, Myles and Collin Parks, and Ronan Hayden; and many other loving family members and friends.

 His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen Martyr Catholic Church 2931 Pindell Avenue with burial in Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home 2723 Preston Hwy. An FOP Memorial will be held at 7 p.m.
