Gerald Lee Rutledge

Gerald Lee Rutledge, 65, of Miami, OK, passed away unexpectantly at Integris Miami Hospital on Monday, May the 19th, 2025, after an illness.

He was born December the 11th, 1959, in Wichita, KS to his parents, Jay R. Rutledge and Marilyn Faye (Edwards) Rutledge. He was raised in Wichita and graduated from West High School.

Gerald worked a several years for Boeing Aircraft, Beech Aircraft, and most recently for Blitz U.S.A. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing video games, bowling, and karaoke. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a brother, Gregory Rutledge and wife Jacquelyn of Wichita, KS, two Uncles, Jerry Rutledge and wife Mary of Welch, Jack Rutledge and wife Patty of Muskogee, OK, and an Aunt, Carolyn Stands of Cherokee, OK. 

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May the 27th, 2025, at the Thomas & Chenoweth Funeral Home in Welch. Mike Harden will officiate. He will be laid to rest next to his parents in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Chetopa, KS. Casket bearers will be Larry Lincoln, Ronnie Kelley, David Thompson, Max Greep, Mike Harden, Jerry Rutledge, and Chad Nowlin.
