Not sure what to say?

Geraldine was a wonderful person
When meant up with her in the store she always had time to talk and see how I were doing.
Wonderful, person
May God give her the best part of heaven

I was so saddened to hear of Geraldine's passing. My sincere condolences to all of the family. May God bestow comfort & peace to each of you. I met her from mutual friend suggesting I help her organize a garage sale. We hit it off and I loved the time I spent with her. We sure laughed a lot and enjoyed that communication.

Scott and Terry, so very sorry for the loss of your Mom. She and I worked together for 30 years for GTE, and I loved her, she was such a wonderful person. May God comfort
you during this difficult time.

Terry and Scott, I am so sorry. My heart hurts for you and your families. Know that you're all in my thoughts and prayers. I'm just a phone call away if you need anything.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

So sorry for your loss. I know she will be missed. Praying for you and your family.

Geraldine was such a wonderful person and such a good friend to my mother, Janice, and to my family. She will be missed by so many! My sincere condolences to all of the family.

Scott and Terry, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear mother. She was a great neighbor and friend. She was always so positive and sweet. I really admired her, your dad and you two. I am out of town and cannot make it to the services. You have my deepest condolences. Cindy Tabor Lewis

Obituary

Geraldine's Obituary

Bobbie Geraldine “Judy” Bentley, 88, of Perryton, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2026.   Viewing will be Monday, March 16, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.  A service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Perryton Church of Christ with Billy McCallie and Mikel Peterson officiating. Burial will take place at Staley Cemetery in Early, Texas, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Geraldine was born on September 27, 1937, in Brownwood, Texas, to Clarice G. “Happy” Parker and Jason A. Parker. She moved to Perryton in 1945 when she was in first grade and graduated from Perryton High School in 1956. In 1955, Geraldine worked at Birch Drug Store, and it was there that she met Richard Bentley, who came into the store. They were married at the Church of Christ on June 16, 1957.

In 1958, Richard was drafted into the U.S. Army and later transferred to Fort Dix, New Jersey. While there, Geraldine and Richard welcomed their daughter, Terry, who was born in a naval hospital in Philadelphia. After Richard’s discharge in 1960, the family returned to Perryton, where they settled into their life together. In 1962, they welcomed their son, Scott. Geraldine worked for GTE until her retirement in 1991.

Geraldine was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Christ in Perryton throughout her life. Her relationship with the Lord guided her daily actions, shaped her character, and remained her highest priority. She loved her family deeply, cherished every moment with them, and found great joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother—but above all, she dedicated herself to serving God.

She also had a lifelong love of travel and adventure. Geraldine found joy not only in seeing new places but in the people she met and the memories she created along the way. She made it a personal goal to see the country, and she proudly visited all 50 states. Whether she was exploring a historic site, taking in a beautiful landscape, or simply sharing a meal and conversation, she treasured the time spent with others. For her, travel was as much about relationships and shared experiences as it was about the destinations themselves.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents, Clarice G. “Happy” Parker and Jason A. Parker; and her brother, Charlie Parker.

She is survived by her daughter, Terry Wilson, and her husband, Olen; her son, Scott Bentley, and his wife, Kim; and her sisters-in-law, Pamela Parker and Ruth Morey. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Kristen Curl and her husband, Derek; Conner Bentley and his wife, Emily; Rachel Jones and her husband, Bretton; and Brooke Bentley. Additionally, she is survived by two great‑grandchildren, Adelaide Ruth Jones and William Scott Bentley. All of them lovingly knew her as Mama Judy.
