Geraldine Marie Brazley Morris, of the Mercadel Family, age 84 was born on September 13, 1941, passed away peacefully, embraced by her devoted family on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. She was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, she later lived in Washington, D.C., before settling in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a dedicated entrepreneur and built two successful business with her late husband. She was also known for her impeccable style and graceful presence, she loved classical music, flowers, Creole cooking, and experiencing the arts through plays and live shows. Her life was beautifully woven among the three cities she loved - New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta - each shaping her spirit, her work, and her legacy. She leaves to carry forth her legacy Joy Curtis and Angel Morris; grandchildren Tyrone Morris, Levon Coachman, Joy Morris, and Treasure Curtis; great-grandson D’Angelo Coachman; sister Barbara Ann Sanders; nephew Jenerio Sanders (Michele Sanders) and a host of extended family and friends. The Mercadel Family will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Morris, and her parents Joseph Edward Brazley and Almeda Mercadel.
