It's hard to believe that we just talked like two weeks ago. I am going to miss your talks, but not as much as I'm going to miss you. There will forever be a hole in my heart, that will never be replaced. I love you, Gil. I will see you on the other side.

Gil I will miss you so much!!! I will never forget our laughs and the good times we had!!! Rest in peace Gilly!!! I will never forget you!!!

My babe I will miss you so much. I love you with all my heart! I thank God for putting you in my life. You made it worth it. Thank you for all the unforgettable memories and all the laugher we had! R.I.P My precious angel!

You were always so full of life and character. May you find peace and rest in the afterlife.

Gilberto's Obituary

Our dear beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend, GILBERTO SAENZ, JR, age 27, lifelong resident of Las Cruces passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. “Gilly”, as he was fondly known to family and friends, was born April 17, 1989. He was a loving, caring, free spirit with a heart of a gypsy who loved his family dearly. Gilly’s passion was being a hair stylist, and at a young age would practice on his mother and sisters. He was last employed at Volt.

Those left to mourn his passing include his mother, Lorena S. Polanco (Alex) of Las Cruces; his father, Gilberto Saenz, Sr. (Donna) of Rio Rancho; two sisters, Amber Saenz (Victor Calderon) and Faith Arellano (Ricky) all of Canutillo, TX; a brother, Roberto Dominguez also of Las Cruces; his paternal grandparents, Jose and Ester Saenz; maternal grandparents, Chavelo and Graciela Martinez. Other survivors include his nieces and nephews, Rhyan and Victor Calderon, Hope and Emma-Grace Arellano. Gilly was preceded in death by his loving Dad, who raised him, Robert Dominguez Sr. on September 19, 2016.

Visitation for Gilly will begin at 6 PM Friday, November 25, 2016 at Baca’s Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road where the Evening Service is scheduled for 7 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at 9 AM Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the same chapel with Pastor Leobardo Landeros officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in La Mesa where he will be laid to rest in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers will be Chavelo Martinez, Jesus Saenz, Mike Baeza, Victor Calderon, Ricky Arellano, Roberto Dominguez, Pete Arredondo and Gilberto Saenz, Sr.
