Giuseppina (Pedagna) Lorenti – Of Somerville, passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. She was 95 years old. Born and raised in Gaeta, Italy, Giuseppina was the beloved daughter of the late Damiano and Maria Pia (D’Adamo) Pedagna. A woman of deep faith, Giuseppina lived a life centered around love for her family, and nothing brought her more peace and happiness than being surrounded by those she cherished most. She found great joy in sharing stories and memories with her loved ones, creating bonds that will live on for generations. Giuseppina had a true gift in the kitchen; her ability to transform the simplest ingredients into hearty, flavorful meals was nothing short of remarkable. Her cooking was an expression of love, and every dish carried the warmth of her spirit. A woman of many interests, Giuseppina was an avid reader with a particular fondness for National Geographic books, which fueled her curiosity and love for the world. She also enjoyed the peaceful art of knitting and sewing, often creating beautiful handmade pieces with patience and care. Giuseppina’s legacy of faith, love, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Beloved wife of the late Taddeo S. Lorenti. Devoted mother of Alexander Lorenti and his wife Connie of Somerville and Mary Lorenti of Somerville. Cherished and loving grandmother of Alex Lorenti of Saugus and Amanda Lorenti of Somerville.
