Gladys E. Holty

Dorothy Nourse West (my mother-in-law) has told me each week since early December, when we sent out her Christmas cards with photo letter, that she still hadn't heard from "Skogie." After figuring out that Skogie must be Gladys Skogsberg Holty, Dorothy's Worcester Memorial Hospital School of Nursing classmate, I decided to Google her today and then learned that Dorothy's good friend had died in August, about a month before her 102nd birthday, and less than 2 weeks after Dorothy's 100th...

I worked with Gladys in winona CMH in the OB dept. she was a very caring person and always had a beautiful smile.

I sorrow with you in the loss of Gladys. She and Earl were dear and precious friends through the years in Winona and at the Lakeside church . Gladys was a true reflection of Christ and she will be remembered as a humble servant of our Lord . I send you my sympathy and love .

Dave, Virginia, and Narilyn, and family members. So sorry for your loss. You mother was an exceptional person. Oh, the memories from Lakeside! My special friend was Marylin Holty and we spent time together between Sunday morning church and Sunday evening services. Sometimes, we would be at our family farm near Fountain City and sometimes, we would be at the Holty home in Winona. Gladys always welcomed us into her home. She made the best chicken pot pies!
