Gladys M. Karacia, age 85, of Germantown, OH, passed away, Saturday June 15, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Middletown, OH, on September 14, 1933, to the late Lester and Anna (Smith) Kessler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Karacia, Sr.; and a daughter, Judy Karacia; her sisters, Helen Holland, Mary Jean Tuggle and Annie Taylor; and her brothers, Bob Kessler and Patrick Kessler (Medal of Honor Recipient). Gladys is survived by her daughter Debra Karacia; 7 sons, Paul (Leslie) Karacia, Robert "Bob" Karacia Jr., Gerry Karacia, Jim (Julie) Karacia, Tim Karacia, Jeff (Linda) Karacia, and Doug (Charlene) Karacia; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesday June 18, 2019, at the Dalton Funeral Home, 6900 Weaver Rd., Germantown. There will be an additional hour of viewing 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Mass of Christian Burial being Celebrated 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19th, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6891 Weaver Rd., Germantown, with Fr. Francis Tandoh Celebrant. Burial will be at Germantown Union Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
