As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. My Aunt Gladys,
A phenomenal Woman of God! I will truly miss my visits with her. We would always had Praise and Worship Service after we had eaten. Carol, her special daughter would provide the music with her skillful talent as a pianist.
Dr. Gladys West had also an extraordinary gift to know how to lead people to their destinations with the invention of the GPS but most of all, she was endowed with the spiritual gift of how to lead people to Jesus with the Holy Spirit, all the way...

Dr Gladys West’s profound legacy will be forever instilled in the US Air (Space) War College Master’s program that bears her name! As one of the first female graduates I was sooo humbled when Dr West honored our class with a Zoom mtg - to acknowledge her pleasure in our space strategic studies and affirm that, YES, she can see how her “hard work paid off”! Though I never had the pleasure of meeting Dr. West, her exceptional list of accomplishments speak volumes about who she is and the immensely important work she mastered. I can only testify to her excellent legacy through having the honor of meeting her extraordinary daughter, Dr. Carolyn Oglesby. With Dr. West as the family’s matriarch, I’m sure the same can be said for the entirety of her family.

Gladys gave us all Grace, Love, Kindness and a dedication to doing God's work here on earth, in space, and helping to create services for humanity.

Family and friends can all take comfort in knowing Gladys and Ira are together in the loving arms of Jesus.
