I will miss Glen more than words can express. He has been my rock and my "go-to" person for 25 years. Helped me out of situations more times than I can count, and always been there anytime I've needed him. Glen Royce Hobbs Sr., age 63 of Elgin passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday morning July 31, 2016.Glen was born April 21, 1953 in Austin Texas to L.C. and Dorothy (Cox) Hobbs.His parents and grandsons, Anthony Hobbs and Oline Royce Basped IV preceded him in death.He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 40 years, Dubhe Rose Hobbs, sister Linda Ruthven and husband Lanny, brother Jimmy Doyle Hobbs and wife Sandra, children; Portia Hobbs Basped and Glen Royce "Cutter" Hobbs Jr. and wife Cynesha, grandchildren, Christian and Severina Basped. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.A Celebration of Glen's Life will be held Graveside, 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2016, Hobbs Cemetery near Lexington.
