Glen Smith, age 71, passed away surrounded by his family, on August 2, 2025. Glen was born on June 10, 1954. He will be missed immensely.
Glen was married to his high school sweetheart, and the love of his life, Janet, for 51 years. He was a proud and loving dad and grandpa. He found a lot of joy in his family's accomplishments.
Glen was the son of Sandra Smith and the late Alvin Richard Smith. Glen is survived by his mom, his loving wife, Janet; two daughters, Taunya (Corey), and Mandi; his sister, Cheryl (Brad); six grandchildren, Aubrey, Sadie, Easton, Avalin, Tayler (Cruz), and Jake; and his great-grandchild, Blair.
Glen had a brilliant mind and an exceptional talent for craftsmanship. Anyone who knew Glen would likely have a project around their house that he had helped them complete.
He didn’t hesitate to go out of his way to assist family and friends in need. If Glen was involved in a project or problem-solving effort, you knew it would be done right, and with care. His generosity with his time and talents left an incredible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his spirit is alive in all of our homes and the projects he took part in.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the ICU staff at Jordan Valley-Holy Cross Hospital for their dedication, compassion and kindness during Glen’s final days.
The family will honor Glen in a private gathering for a celebration of his life.
