Glenda's Obituary

Glenda “Sue” Johnson, 76, of Sapulpa, entered eternal rest in the arms of the Lord on October 1, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born on December 22, 1948, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to Herbert Daniel Watkins and Glinda “Pat” Paterson. She attended Sapulpa High School and was employed at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home for over eighteen years—earning perfect attendance for three consecutive years.

On August 19, 1970, Sue married the love of her life, Willis “Dink” Johnson. They shared thirty-one wonderful years together before his passing.

Sue had a deep love for houseplants, painting and finishing ceramics, coffee, and anything chocolate. She was known for her compassionate heart, her quirky sense of humor, and her fun-loving spirit. To many, she was “the cool Mom.”

She is survived by her children: Glenda Davis and husband Travis, and Danny Johnson; Grandchildren: Andrea Cox and husband Anthony, Crystal Sell and husband Justin Kelso, Robert Birner and wife Angela,  Courtney Thoene and husband  Pierre, and Travis “Jake” Davis and wife Jo Salinas; Great-grandchildren: Trinity Sutterfield, Anthony Sell, Areana Thoene, Olivia Birner, Zoey Sell, Elliana Thoene, Riley Birner, Paisley Cox, Kenai Salinas, and Tatum Thoene; Sisters: Jeanne Fiarris and Danna Watkins; And a host of other beloved relatives and friends.

Family Visitation will be held on October 9, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A Celebration of Life will take place on October 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the family home, 924 W. Bryan Ave., Sapulpa, OK. This will be a come-and-go gathering—please do not feel obligated to stay the entire time. Refreshments will be served.
