Gloria's Obituary

Mrs. Gloria Sue Bimslager (nee: DeWitt) of Warrenton, MO, passed away on Friday, September, 26, 2025 at her home. She was the youngest daughter of the late Ivan and Anna (nee: Elgin) Dewitt, born on September 18, 1942. She had reached the age of 83 years.

Growing up on a farm in Kansas, Gloria loved being outside. She loved riding her horse "Shorty" and going fishing. In her teenage years, the family moved to Burlingame, KS where she attended high school and was a cheerleader. She enjoyed dancing, loved listening to music and was full of life.  Gloria was a very strong, outspoken women, who loved to laugh and had a smile that could light up a room. She was united in marriage to Ed Bimslager and she raised five children. She was a homemaker and absolutely loved caring for her family. She loved to bake, she loved animals of all kinds, she loved flowers and she loved to watch old western movies. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could always put a smile on your face. Gloria was a wonderful, caring. loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her parents, Ivan and Anna; three sisters, Helen, Bonnie and Georgia; six brothers, Boyd, Darrell, Neal, Ellis, Willis and Kane. Those family members who will be remain grateful for having shared in Gloria's life are her children, Angela Hawkes, Jim Herschell, John Herschell, Annette Hayes and Desiree Ibarra; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great - great grandchild; one sister, Glenda; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
