Gloria R. McCoy (formerly McAlpine, nee Iseldyke)

September 27, 1930 – February 6, 2026

Gloria passed away in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on February 6, 2026.  The 11th of 11 children born to Gerard and Cora Iseldyke (Vink).  She was born in East Rutherford, New Jersey and a long time, over 50 years, resident of Old Tappan, New Jersey.

Gloria was a homemaker, staying home to raise her four children.  Once they were grown, she started a career with Dr. Jeffery Berdini in Montvale, New Jersey.  Upon her retirement there, she started another career at the Old Tappan Public Library working well into her 90’s.

Gloria is predeceased by her parents, her three sisters, Anne, Marion and Minnie, her seven brothers, Gerard, Leonard, Leroy, John, George, William and Robert.  She was also predeceased by her daughter, Beth and her first husband, James McAlpine and her second husband, James McCoy.

Gloria is survived by her three daughters, Dana, Judi, Jane and her son, Brian.  Also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

A small service will be held at Macagna-Diffily-Onorato Funeral Home, 41 Ames Avenue, Rutherford, NJ from 9:30 to 10:30 with burial immediately after at 11:00 AM at Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Avenue, Clifton, NJ.
