Not sure what to say?

I have no words to express how saddened I am to hear the news of Gloria’s passing. We were school friends from Kindergarten to High School. Rest In Peace.

Rest in peace dear friend. Sincere condolences to the family.

GLORIA's Obituary

Gloria Delia Reyes, a long-time resident of Douglas, AZ, went home to the Lord October 21, 2025, with her loving sons, Michael and David, by her side.  A devoted and compassionate nurse, Gloria, a 1967 graduate of Douglas High School, received her training at St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Phoenix, AZ.  She dedicated her life to caring for others — from her service as a registered nurse in the U.S. Army at Fort Polk, LA, to her years at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN, and later at the Cochise Regional Hospital, where she served in intensive and post-operative care. In her later years, she continued sharing her healing heart as a school nurse in the Douglas Public Schools.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Hayslip and David Morales; her sisters, Alicia Reyes of Chicago, IL, Grace Reyes of Berkeley, CA, and Leticia Reyes of San Francisco, CA; her daughters-in-law, Jasmine Holmes and Casney Tadeo Morales; her brother-in-law, Steven Eggert; and her grandchildren Cashlyn and Cason Claxton.  She was predeceased by her parents, Ignacio and Ernestina Reyes, and her brother-in-law, Rathin Datta.

Gloria’s faith, kindness, and lifelong dedication to helping others will be remembered by all who knew her.

A viewing will be held at Brown-Page Mortuary on Tuesday, October 28, at 9:00 AM, followed by a 10:30 AM rosary reading at St. Luke’s Catholic Church and funeral services at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
