Gloria Alice Spundarelli passed away peacefully, at the age of 89 years old on Saturday, March 6, 2021. She was born on June 15, 1931 in Trenton, NJ and spent all of her life in the Bordentown/Columbus area, working for the State of New Jersey. She loved her job and helping children, which is no surprise because she had one of the most caring and giving hearts a person can possess.
After she retired from the State of New Jersey, she then ventured into the restaurant business with her husband, George. They were co-owners of the very successful, historic White Hill Mansion; a beautiful restaurant located in Fieldsboro, NJ that overlooked the Delaware River. They held many great memories and laughs over the years, that are shared with their business partners who they absolutely adored.
Gloria lived an incredible, happy and healthy life. She was always around and a huge supporter for all of her kids and grandchildren. She would never miss a sporting event, concert, play, holiday or family dinner, because there was nothing more that she loved other than her family. She loved to travel and enjoyed tons of family vacations on Long Beach Island. She is so incredibly loved by all of us and will be missed more than words can ever express. She was one of the most important and greatest parts of all of our lives and we love her so much.
She is survived by her two children; her daughter, Irene and her husband Jack; her son, Tom and his wife Antonietta; three grandchildren; her grandson, Tommy and fiancé Rachel; her granddaughter, Allyson; granddaughter, Danielle and her husband, Jay; two great-grandchildren; Lucas and Cassidy. She is preceded in death by her parents; Thomas Burtis Church and Alice Paul Church; her brother, Thomas Burtis Church Jr.; two husbands; Frederick Potts and George Spundarelli; and her son, Frederick J. Potts.
Services for Gloria will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
