Gordon R. “Raymond” Foster, Jr.
Naples, FL - Gordon Raymond Foster, Jr., 72, of Naples, FL and formerly of Attica, passed away in the Avow Hospice Center, Naples, FL, on Monday, September 22, 2025. Raymond, as he was known to family and friends, was born in the Williamsport Community Hospital, Williamsport, Indiana on June 14, 1953. He was the son of Martha E. (Lefton) Foster, Attica and the late Gordon Raymond Foster, Sr. Raymond was raised in Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1971. He attended Ball State University and received a Bachelors Degree in Science and Architecture and a Masters Degree in Architecture. Following graduation from Ball State he moved to Dallas, TX to pursue his career in architecture. He later moved to Tulsa, OK where he worked for a short while, before joining the Wight Company in Naperville, IL with asbestos removal services. While living in Naperville, he met his future bride, Teresa L. Werner and they were married n April 2, 1988 in Aurora, IL. Raymond later moved Houston, working for Evans American Corp. in disaster relief. After a short stint with the Evans Company, Raymond made a career change and went to work with Magic Casino in Aurora, IL. He later transferred to Biloxi, MS where he worked as a floor supervisor with Imperial Palace Casino. He worked for Imperial Palace Casino for 19 years until his retirement in 2017. He and his wife relocated to Naples, FL for the past 8 years. Raymond leaves behind his wife, Teresa Foster of 37 years. He also leaves behind his mother, Martha Foster; a daughter, Kim (Rich) Swann; a son, Marc (Alison) Werner; 3 grandsons, Adam, Aaron, and Aiden Swann; 2 granddaughters, Sydney and Morgan Werner; a brother, Donald E. (Vicki) Foster and a sister, Connie S. (Brent) Sichts; 3 brothers-in-laws, Tim, Tom (Hollie) and Troy (Rhonda) Smillie; 2 sisters-in-law, Toni (Jimmie) Minton and Tamara (Larry) Weiten; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Raymond Foster, Sr. A memorial gathering will be held at the Attica Christian Church, 411 E. Sycamore St., on Saturday, October 11th, from 11:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Hunter Chadwell officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
