Obituary of Gordon Foster Hall

Gordon Foster Hall, age 61, of 10009 Oakengate Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD, departed this life and was called home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2025. He was the last of 8 children born to Clifford, Sr. and Jewel Lula (nee Davis) Hall. Gordon lived most of his life in Aliquippa and later Monaca, PA. After the death of his mother, he relocated to Maryland.

He was a graduate of Aliquippa High School and went on to take a job with the Laquinta Hotel chain in their general housekeeping operations. He was plagued with a series of major illnesses which prevented him from continuing further employment.

He was the baby of the family, in every sense, and during family gatherings and holidays he was always found with his mom. His mother’s faith ministry had a profound influence on his life. When he was a young lad, he would preside over mock church services in her basement and his young friends, nieces and nephews were the parishioners. He even built a tithe box. As an adult he fully realized the importance of spiritual salvation and gave his heart to God. While he was one of the more colorful members of the family, he was loyal and true.

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jerome Coward, Aliquippa, PA, Jeremiah Hall, Sr., Washington, PA, Richard Hall, Sr., Pittsburgh, PA, and Robert Hall, Aliquippa, PA, Sister, Sharon Tina Hall, Monaca, PA, nephews, Robert Louis Jackson Jr., Baltimore, MD and Jeremiah Hall Jr., Pittsburgh, PA.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sister, Rita Marie Cowart-Jackson, Aliquippa, PA, brothers, Clifford Hall, Jr., Brooklyn, NY, Cordale Hall, Houston, TX, Forrest Scott Hall, Sr. (Sylvia), Upper Marlboro, MD, niece, Lisa Walker, Crofton, MD and a host of loving nieces, nephews, great to great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and adoring saints and friends.

Visitation is October 11, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the Homegoing Service at The First Church of God in Christ, “Church in the Round” Woodrow and Griffith Streets Aliquippa, PA 15001. Bishop Bernard Wallace and clergy presiding. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Pitts Funeral Home 920 Franklin Avenue Aliquippa, Pa  15001.
