Gordon's Obituaries
Gordon Edward “Gordy” McCabe, Jr., 65, of Morehead City, died at his home on Monday, June 5, 2017. Memorial services will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Karl Zorowski, pastor of St. Peter’s United Methodist Church Morehead City, officiating.
Gordy was born at Ft. Benning, GA. on January 25, 1952, to Gordon Edward and Mary Ethel Seamon McCabe. He retired after 35 years of service from Carteret General Hospital. He attended St. Peter’s United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ethel McCabe, of Morehead City; and a sister, Karen Ann McCabe.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Edward McCabe, Sr.
The family will greet friends after the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made in Gordy’s name to St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, 111 Hodges Street, Morehead City, NC 28557.Read More
