Grace M Clothey

Peabody- Grace M. (Kelly) Clothey passed away with her loved ones by her side on the evening of Saturday March 30, 2019 at Salem Hospital. Born in Salem, Grace was the daughter of the late Grace (McGroarty) and Nicholas Kelly. Grace went onto graduate in the National Honor Society from Salem High School. She later continued her education at Salem State.

Grace worked at Eaton’s Pharmacy for 4 years during that time, but later went onto work as an account payable clerk at Royal Stamp for 13 years and then moved onto working for Parker Brothers as an account payable clerk for 18 years.

Grace later married Gilbert Clothey Sr. of Peabody. She will be remembered as a loving mother to her children and admired by all who knew her.

Grace leaves behind; her daughter Diane Boutin and her husband Christopher, her son Gilbert Clothey Jr. and his significant other Jeff Tucker,  her daughter Kathleen Stickney and her significant other Daniel McGrath, her son Glenn Clothey and his wife Tracey; her grandchildren Kevin Stickney, Sean Boutin, Anne-Marie Stickney, and Katelyn Boutin; her great-grandchildren Jameson Stickney and Ava Leblanc-Stickney; predeceased by her brother John Kelly and survived by his lifelong partner Nancy Craigen; her dear cousins Ann Paul, Sandra McMahan, Gail Bell, and a large extended family.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will take place on Thursday April 4, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, located at 85 Federal St. Salem. The funeral mass will be held on Friday April 5, 2019 at 9:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Parish, located at 17 Chestnut St, Peabody, MA 01960. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Grace’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
