Graciela Rosario Rios-Curl, born on July 21, 1950 in Texas. She passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025 in her hometown of San José, California, at the age of 75. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, whose life was defined by compassion, perseverance, and love.
Graciela was the cherished daughter of the late Aurora Seanz Rios and Thomas Cruz Rios. She grew up in San José, attending Overfelt High School before continuing her education at the University of California, Santa Cruz. With a deep commitment to serving others, she built a meaningful career as a Mental Health Therapist III at the San Luis Obispo Mental Health Hospital, where she touched the lives of many through her care and dedication.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosalind Montgomery and son Todd Curl III. Graciela also leaves behind her brothers Rolando Seanz Rios, Richard Rios, Robert Rios, Ruben Rios, Rene Rios and sisters Rosa Maria Flores, Linda Muse and Sylvia Toler.
In addition, she is lovingly remembered by more than 50 nieces and nephews, including grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews who carry forward her legacy of love and family unity.
Graciela will be remembered for her generous heart, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched and the family who adored her.
