Gregory Louis Gomes entered Heaven on March 18, 2026, with his loved ones at his side. Greg was born on July 5, 1953, at Del Puerto Hospital in Patterson, CA to his parents Nelson and Diolinda Gomes. Greg was the middle child, number 7 of 13 children.
Greg was a man of deep faith for the Lord and steadfast devotion to His word. Throughout his years, Greg started and ended everyday by thanking the Lord for his blessings. He had endless love for family and friends and went to deep lengths to share his love, compassion and friendship with others. Greg took immense pride in caring for people and helping others as he was truly a Steward of the Lord with unwavering faith.
Greg had a passion for hunting as it truly brought him peace and happiness. He will always be remembered for not only his love of hunting but for sharing that passion with so many others. He was lucky enough to hunt all over the world with his father, brothers, friends, wife, children, grandchildren and nephews.
Greg retired from the Sheetmetal Workers’ Union after 25 plus years. Retirement allowed Greg more time with family and friends, as well as hunting, traveling, gardening, and other creative hobbies.
