Gregory's Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Gregory E. Gomez, whose kindness, warmth, and unwavering love touched countless lives. He was a best friend, a source of strength, and the gentlest soul we have ever known. Gregory’s compassion knew no bounds—whether offering a helping hand to a stranger or comforting a friend in need, he gave freely of himself without hesitation.

Gregory proudly served as a Reserve Officer for the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office and dedicated 38 years of service to the County of Santa Clara, where he built lifelong friendships and earned the respect of all who worked alongside him.

Above all, he treasured his family, especially his grandchildren—Alyssa, Alaia, Jesse, and Shawn—showering them with unconditional love and joy. His laughter, his stories, his hugs, and his quiet strength brought comfort to all who knew him, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever. Though his absence leaves a void that can never be filled, his legacy of kindness and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Gregory is survived by his wife, Lori; his sons, Christopher and Gregory Jr.; his daughters, Serena and Christina; daughter in law, Anna; his cherished grandchildren, Alyssa, Alaia, Jesse, and Shawn; and his sister, Gail Gomez.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Al and Millie; his brother, Glenn; his previous wife, Joann; and his son, Michael.
