   Born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, to Maria Mendez and Ignacio Ibarra. She was the second of three children, with her brothers being Ivan and Andres. She moved to the United States with her family in the year 2000. They resided in Burlington, WA. Her Parents found the Jehovah’s Witness, and she became a follower, and was baptized at age 14. Griselda went to Burlington Edison High School and participated in drama club and enjoyed the arts as well. She graduated from BEHS in 2011 and then attended Skagit Valley College where she graduated with an AA in Criminal Justice in 2014. Griselda also attended Central University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication in 2016. Griselda travelled to Europe with her college class on a trip she remembered for her lifetime. Griselda has a large ever-expanding cast of friends during this time in her life; she was loved by many. Griselda worked at Skagit Valley Hospital as a receptionist. Griselda met her husband Christopher in the year 2017. They dated for three years and were married in the year 2020. Throughout their marriage they enjoyed taking special trips together, where they camped, went swimming saw shows together and just generally enjoyed their life together. They loved their pet family “Bear”, “Nemo”, “Pearl”, “Felicia”, “Diesel” and “Dori”. Griselda loved animals and always had them in her life.

   Griselda was a very creative, artistic person. She enjoyed writing poetry and many art mediums. Griselda enjoyed anime, and attending music concerts and conventions with family and friends.

    Griselda was a Jehovah’s Witness. She was involved in theater in High School and “Calling All Colors” in college. She volunteered at retirement homes. Her career goal was to become a child probation officer in order to help children.

    She is survived by her husband Christopher, her parents Maria Mendez De Ibarra, Ignacio Ibarra, her brothers Ivan Ibarra and Andres Ibarra. As well as many cousins, one niece and nephew.

     A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Friday, November 14th, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 20249 Lafayette Rd, Burlington, WA 98233. Following the service, a burial will take place at Bow cemetery 15946 Cemetery Rd, Bow, WA 98232. A reception will begin around 3:30 at Hawthorne Funeral home 1825 E College Way, Mt Vernon.
