Dad I love you and I'm gonna miss you. I know we didn't get to spend s lot of time together but just know that I always thought of you and always talked about you. Guillermo Cortez Jr. born on February 12, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 5, 2024, at the age of 81. He is preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo Cortez, and Stella Porras; sister, Gloria Cortez; brother Ernest Cortez; brother-in-law Audencio Diaz and mothers of his children, Olivia Zozoya, Pauline Paiz and longtime partner Maria Garcia.
He is survived by his daughters, Graciela Phiri and husband Stanley; Yolanda Marin and husband Michael, Consuelo Tinoco and husband Michael; Sylvia Cortez, Veronica Ibarra and husband Victor; son, Guillermo Cortez III; brothers, Ralph Cortez and wife Norma, George Cortez and wife Angie; sisters, Mary Diaz, Dolores Contreras, Norma Garza and husband Joe; grandchildren, Andres, Cecilia, Michael, Jacob, Gabriela, Molver, Alaina, Mariela, Victoria, Alina, Madison, Melissa, and Ariana; Great-Grandchildren, Andrew, David, Lillie, Lydia and Malaika. Numerous extended family and friends. His presence in our lives will be dearly missed.
