Guindlin Carol Staats, 83, of Mason, WV, passed away January 20, 2026, at her home following a brief illness.
She was born on August 5, 1942, in Neon, KY, and she was the daughter of the late Victor and Gladys (Curvin) Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Vernon Taylor.
She was a homemaker and was a self-employed in-home day care worker. She enjoyed sewing, family and cooking.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Larry Bruce Staats; son, Jeffrey Allen Staats, of Mason; daughter, Christi Lynn (Daniel) Carson of Nelsonville, OH; granddaughter, Amy Nicole Carson.
There will be no public services at this time.
