I met Stuart in high school and liked him instantly. Like many others we lost touch after graduation but reconnected many years later on Facebook and would swap messages and posts on occasion. He was a good man and a good friend and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my friend.

I got to know Stuart when he was the recruiter for Marion Senior High. I always enjoyed his and Tommy Hay’s visits. They were by far the best recruiters I have ever had come in my office! If we ever needed anything, he would step up. He always laughed and joked with us and we were fortunate enough to get to know the man. He clearly loved his country but especially loved all of his “girls”- his wife and daughter. I never doubted that he was the best dad and husband. My thoughts and prayers...

Stuart worked for me on several different missions and tasks. He was one I could count on and he deservingly accepted the leadership roll I afforded him during Operation Iraqi Freedom(OIF-1)
He always had a smile on his face, even during a butt chewing I gave him, he tutored the young Warriors, he spent countless hours doing his battle checks on his Soldiers during conflict and he worked tirelessly to make everyone better, forgetting his long hours without rest or downtime.
