Mrs. Hanna Cox (nee Zoll), age 69, passed away Monday morning, October 6, 2025, at her home. She was born May 30, 1956, in Singen Germany, daughter of the late Walter Zoll and Gerlinde Emminger.
In 1961, Hanna arrived in the United States where she was raised by her paternal Grandparents John Wissens and Helen Zoll-Wissens in St. Louis. Hanna attended Affton High School. Following graduation, she worked as a housekeeper and dietary aide. Hanna married Michael Cox on November 15, 1975, and they lived in Ballwin for the past 40 years. She was a devoted mother to her daughters Heidi and Rachel Cox.
Hanna found joy in cooking for friends and loved ones. Her potato pancakes were family favorites. Hanna enjoyed finding special gifts to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, arts & crafts, and spending time with her family and her pets.
Hanna was preceded in death by her parents Walter Zoll and Gerlinde Emminger, grandparents John Wissens and Helen Zoll-Wissens, her father-in-law Arthur Cox and mother-in-law Estelle Cox, her sister-in-law Betty (Scott) Gilchrist, her sister-in-law Joyce (Terry) Alley, her nephew Jake Nelson, and her niece Andrea Nelson.
Hanna is survived and missed by her loving husband Michael Cox of 49 years, her daughters Heidi and Rachel Cox, brothers Erich Zoll and Udo Zoll, sisters Jutta Krüeger and Margot Emminger, dearest sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Services: Visitation will be held at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road, Ballwin, MO 63011 on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted at Holy Cross Cemetery, 16200 Manchester Road, Ellisville, MO 63011 on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. If desired, contributions may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, the Humane Society of Missouri, or BackStoppers in lieu of flowers.
