Not sure what to say?

My husband, Chris, knew Glenn and enjoyed talking with him about their service in the Navy.
He liked Glenn’s straightforward manner and his dry sense of humor. He will be missed. May your fond memories give you comfort.

In memory of and in gratitude for honorable military service during the Vietnam War. May God bless you and welcome you home

Dancing in heaven!!!

I love you so much!! I could not have been blessed with a more amazing Gpa!! I can’t wait to see you again and see all the fish you catch in heaven!!! Dance with GMA!!!

Harold's Obituary

Harold Glenn Kemp, 82 of Burkburnett passed away Monday, September 8, 2025.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.  The family will conduct a graveside service at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Coleman Cemetery in Coleman.

Glenn was born on June 13, 1943 in Junction to the late Claude and Flossie Marie (Neatherlin) Kemp.  He attended Coleman High School, and married Claudia Barnett on October 21, 1963.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era.  Glenn was an aircraft mechanic during his service, and later transitioned to a machinist.  After working in Fort Worth for several years, he moved the family to the Abilene area where he went to work as a salesman for several car dealerships.

After moving the family to Burkburnett, he continued in the car business, eventually going to work for the State of Texas, where he retired from TDCJ.  Glenn loved to fish.  Did we mention Glenn loved to fish?  He was always sliding off to Cache creek where he knew a couple of deep holes of water to set a trot line.  His love of fishing was only surpassed by his love of family.  He was stubborn, but loved his children, and grandchildren, dog Sandy, and bird Pretty Baby unconditionally.  He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sisters Myrt Wells, Dovie (Claudine) Cole, and Judy Kemp.

Glenn is survived by his daughters Terri Kemp, Annette Priddis and husband John, and Beth Boatman and husband Mark, all of Burkburnett; grandchildren Justin Kemp, Christina Cunningham, Mitchell Priddis, Arthur Boatman, and Randall Priddis; great-grandchildren Cody, Vincent, Anthony, Jayden, Keyan, Wyatt, Chloee, Scarlett, Collin, Wade, Liam, Axel, and Sulyvahn; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.
