I had the pleasure getting to know Harry working at Yeager Sanitation with him for over eight years. Rest in peace 3rd gear.

Tiffany and I had the honor of having him worship with us at church, visiting him and having good conversation, and communion. I thank the Lord for the gift of getting to know this man.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Harry's Obituary

Harry E. Conser, 81

Harry E. Conser, 81, of Punxsutawney, died Monday, September 8, 2025, at his home.

He was born July 19. 1944, in Jersey Shore, PA, a son of the late Susan (Wagner) and Henry E. Conser.

On July 12, 1997, he married Linda L. (Stellabuto) Young Conser, who preceded him in death on April 19, 2024.

He was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was an afternoon spent building something beautiful in his beloved woodshop, or sharing stories that brought smiles to everyone around him.  His favorite pastime was working with his hands, crafting projects not just with skill, but with heart.

Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, who brought endless pride and laughter into his life.  He had a gift for making people smile, often with a joke, story, or one of his favorite sayings – “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”  He truly believed that everything, and everyone, had value.  His warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In his later years, he was blessed to have the loving care and companionship of Kim, who was not only his devoted caregiver, but also a dear friend.  Their bond was one of true companionship, built on trust, laughter, and shared moments that brought peace and happiness to his days.

Harry is survived by five children, Lorie Buffington and husband Scott of Punxsutawney, Penny Conser of Punxsutawney, Linda Hartzfeld and husband Bill of Punxsutawney, Amy Shaffer and husband Barry of DuBois, and Brad Warrick and wife Peggy of Clearfield; two stepchildren, Troy Young and wife Denise of Anita and Mark Felton and wife Shawnda of Punxsutawney; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three grandchildren, and one great-great grandson; and a sister Jane Reese of Jersey Shore, PA.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Carl Conser, Jr. and a stepsister Linda Reynolds.

Though he faced the challenges of dementia with quiet strength, he is now at peace and free from suffering.  His mind and spirit are whole once again and his family takes comfort in knowing that he is finally at rest.

Per Harry’s request, there will be no funeral services.  He will be laid to rest with his mother and father at Linnwood Cemetery in McElhattan, PA.

There will be a private service held at a later date in Lock Haven, PA.
