Harry F. Craddock, Jr., 89, Atchison, Kansas died Tuesday evening, November 22, 2016 at his home.Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Shiloh Baptist Church with Pastor Anthony Divers officiating. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the church. Interment will be Wednesday morning, Nov. 30 at 10:00 A.M. in the Leavenworth National Cemetery. The Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Harry worked at Rockwell International and later at Atchison Casting Corporation as a welding instructor for 42 years until his retirement in 1991. Harry and RayLotha L. Banks were united in marriage in St. Joseph, Missouri. Mrs. Craddock preceded him in death on April 11, 1999. Together they served for over thirty five years as foster parents to numerous children.He served our country with the United States Navy from November 22, 1944 until his honorable discharge on April 6, 1946.Harry was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing dominoes. Survivors include two sons, David (Helen) Reynolds, Jr., Atchison, KS, Alphonso Dabney, Topeka, KS, six daughters, Doris J. (Arthur) Ford, Kansas City, MO, Latonya (Ron) Craddock, Kansas City, KS, Vickie White, Savannah, GA, Jorgann White, Atchison, KS, Patricia Foster, Minneapolis, MN, Rosetta Reynolds, St. Joseph, MO, one sister, Mattie McDonald, Atchison, KS, eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and many foster grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and many extended family members.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Taylor, two brothers, Dave Edward Thomas, Jr.; Harold Scott; two sisters, Carrie Divers and Lettie Scott.
