Harry's Obituary

Mr. Harry Stevens, Sr., aged 74, of Baytown, Texas, and formerly of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, in Baytown, Texas.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Stevens will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1395 Gladys Street in Beaumont, Texas 77701.  For your safety social distancing and facial masks are recommended.

Harry Stevens, Sr. Life Story

He was born on April 22, 1950, in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Andrew and Mary Jane Stevens. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.  Harry attended school in Louisiana and was self employed most of his life. Harry met his wife Emma Griffin when he was 15 years old. She was the love of his life. They married on November 13, 1969.   The loving couple had three children. Harry Jr., Gina, and Erica.Harry had a passion for the outdoors where he enjoyed working in his garden, fixing his house, and helping anyone that needed assistance. He took pride in being able to provide. He took pride in being able to provide for his family no matter what. Harry believed in rising early and working hard.  He also loved music and would just sit and listen to his oldies but goodie songs. He also loved to sing. When he was able to attend church, he loved being able to sing and give praise to the Lord.

He will be remembered for the love he had for his wife, family and friends. Harry Lee has always had a generous heart, loving personality, and caring soul. There will never be another Harry Lee.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful parents, Andrew and Mary Jane Stevens, his loving siblings, and his beloved son, Harry Lee Stevens, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory of his loving wife Emma Stevens; children, Gina Lank (Fredick)  and Erica Stevens Grant (Phillip); grandchildren, Myles Stevens, Deja Rodgers, Nathaniel Hooks, Tracey Stevens, Rashad Trent, and Shelby Trent; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Christian, Jayden, Arabella, Tracey Jr., Eliza, Nathaniel Jr., Chloe, Avanni, and Jackson; two brothers, Tom Stevens and Larry Stevens; two sister, Alma Stevens and Mary Brown. Also, Harry had a host of nieces and nephews along with other relatives and many friends that he loved dearly.
