Hazel Rogers Davis
Hazel Rogers Davis was born August 17, 1933, in St Joseph, Louisiana. She departed her earthly home on April 21, 2025, at the age of 91. Hazel was a retired nursing assistant at Belle Chasse State School. She was a lifelong member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist church where she was active in the Senior Choir, Prayer line, Sunday School and Bible Study ministries. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Larry (Gwendolyn) Rogers, Nathaniel Rogers, Cynthia Davis, Karl (Diedre) Davis Sr and siblings: Willie Mae Davis, Alexander Rogers, Gladys Tigler, Edward Rogers. Hazel is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Esau Davis, her parents Major Rogers Sr. and Carrie Rogers, her children, Albert Louis Rogers and Karen A. Davis, her brothers Albert and Major Rogers, and her sisters, Rosetta Hammond and Ruby Rogers. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Services on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 Fourth Street Westwego, LA 70072 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Services will be officiated by Pastor Woodrow Hayden.
