Rest in peace Hazel. Hazel was one of my favorites. I use to stay there in the summers and always enjoyed seeing her and Lovey at events. Comfort and peace to you all.

Obituary

HAZEL's Obituary

Hazel A. Johnson, 92, Moose Lake, died Sunday, April 6, 2025 in Moose Lake Village.  She was born on November 17, 1932 in Moose Lake to Charles and Agnes Forse.  Hazel grew up in Moose Lake.  On November 25, 1950, Hazel married Fred L. Johnson.  They lived in Texas while Fred was in the service and later moved to the farm in Windemere Twp until moving to Moose Lake.  In 1963, they moved to Cloquet where they raised their family.  Hazel worked for many years as a clerk for Johnson Company in Cloquet.  She bowled in Cloquet and flower gardened.  After retirement, Hazel and Fred moved to Sun Bay in Sturgeon Lake.  Hazel moved to the Assisted Living in Moose Lake in 2017.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 2006; two sisters: Arlene Bauer and Jane Meyers; and two brothers: Charles Forse, Jr. and Roger Forse.

Hazel will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Diane (Walter Gryska) Flottemesch, Randy (Claudia) Johnson, and Brian Johnson; five grandchildren: Leslie (Chris) Murray, Matthew (Shanna) Johnson, Lindsay (Daniel) Merritt, Melissa (Brian) Johnson, and Brian Johnson, Jr.; five great grandchildren; and a sister: Shirley Pouti.

There will be no formal services for Hazel and private inurnment will be in Blomskog Cemetery, Windemere Twp., Pine County.
