Hector Joaquin Contreras

Hector Joaquin Contreras, 91, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

 The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Rigoberto Contreras, officiating.

 Hector was born on December 7, 1933 to the late Roberto and Ana Maria (Gonzalez) Contreras in Julimes Chihuahua, Mexico. In 1954 he married Felisa Olivas in Chihuahua, México and together they had eight beautiful children. Later,  Hector  immigrated to the United States and worked in Nebraska and Arizona as a welder before settling in Wichita Falls, Texas. Later in the years he married Dora Lee and had four more children with her. Hector was a hardworking man and whatever he had, he earned it. Hector will be missed by many.

 Along with his parents and his first wife Felisa Olivas, Hector was preceded in death by two brothers, Luis Roberto Contreras and Jose Alonzo Contreras; and his second wife, Dora Lee.

He is survived by his children of his first wife, Joaquin Contreras and wife, Ann, Maria Tinoco and husband, Othon, Jesus Contreras and wife, Dora, Pastor Rigoberto Contreras and wife, Cruz, Israel Contreras and wife, Norma, Norma Romero and husband, Marcelino, Lupe Jennings and husband, Wesley, and Bertha Woody and husband, James; and children from his second marriage, Hector Contreras Jr., Nicholas Contreras, Jody Contreras and Alvera Taylor; fifty-one grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sister, Guadalupe Weiss ; and two brothers, Manuel Contreras and Valentin Contreras.
