Heidi Putvain passed away on Friday May 8th, 2020 with her loving sister, Dianne, by her side.
Heidi Joy Putvain (née Fassett) was born in Barre, Vermont on July 22, 1955 to Hayden and Elenor (née Elsie) Fassett. She was the second youngest, with twin sister Bonnie, of 14 children. She graduated from Hazen Union High School in 1973. She and Berton Putvain Sr. were married in the summer 1973 and had 3 amazing sons. She spent most of her life in Vermont, with a brief few years in South Carolina, with her three sons. One of her son’s fondest memories was of her making homemade Kaluha for her family and friends in the neighborhood while enjoying their company. She loved spending time with her beloved pup Bella, and her wonderful grandchildren. Heidi had the most caring spirit and would do anything she could for anyone. She cherished her family and loved them with all of her heart. Heidi loved cooking and baking; BJ loved his favorite homemade pineapple upside down cake his Ma would make for him every year on his birthday. Aaron remembers his mom affectionately nicknaming him Monkey as a kid.
She is predeceased by her brothers Henry, Harold, Ronald and Bruce, and sisters Bonnie, Kendall and Karlene. She is survived by her siblings, Steven Fassett (SC), Francis Fassett (SC), Carol Perry (NM), Dianne Fassett (VT), Patty Chowning (SC) and Joanne Kirwin (SC). She was predeceased by her husband, Berton Alfred Putvain (1980) and her second eldest son Jason Gabriel Putvain (1993). She is survived by her sons, Berton Alfred Putvain Jr. (BJ), his wife Lydia Beach Putvain, and Aaron Hayden Putvain, and his partner, Michelle Marsha; grandchildren, Dylan, his partner Dasia Beam, Cody, Jordyn, Larkyn, Taylor, Maryah and Aaron Jr. (AJ) Putvain; great grandchildren, Jenna, Ava, Bailee and Jaxon Putvain.
Heidi will be missed dearly, but memories of her will be fondly cherished forever.
From BJ: “If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again.” Mom, I know that you are resting peacefully now that you are reunited with Jason. I love you both.
From Aaron: Life is full of ups and downs but one thing that will never change is how much I love you. I know you are now with Jason. Please give him a hug for me and tell him how much I miss him.
