Helen T. Bakes, 97 of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026 in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. Born on September 22, 1928 in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Agnes (Keglovits) Klusarits. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Anthony in 2003. She was employed as a sewing machine operator for Cross Country Clothes. Helen was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church in Northampton.
Survivors: daughter, Christine Wolfer and husband John; grandchildren, Elizabeth, John, Stephanie, Anthony, Jason; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Son, Anthony Bakes, 2 brothers and 6 sisters preceded Helen in death.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 16th at 10:00 a.m. in the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Reichel Funeral Home, Northampton. Online condolences may be offered below.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church in loving memory of Helen.
