New London, NH-Helen (Tereschak) Listner, 97, of Morgan Hill Road, died Wednesday, July 31, 2019.
She was born in Wallington, NJ on June 5, 1922 the daughter of Andrew and Theresa (Skurnicky) Tereschak.
She lived in Fair Lawn, NJ for many years before moving to New London 12 years ago.
Helen was an incredible homemaker and a most devoted mother to her children, family members and loving grandmother. She and her late husband worked in a number of different business ventures. One such entity, where she played a highly active role was in a successful food processing business that was ahead of its time in terms of product development and innovation. As a result, one of the unique machines constructed by her late husband resides in the Smithsonian National Museum in Washington, DC.
She attended Our Lady of Fatima Church in New London. She will be remembered for her devoted loyalty to family, her organizational skills and her magnificent gardening abilities. She was a talented seamstress and businesswoman.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph T. Listner, on May 4, 1990 and her sister, Lillian Pisano. She is survived by a son and his wife, Chem J. and Laura Listner of Randolph, NJ; a daughter and her husband, Beverly and Dr. Anthony Yuskaitis of New London, NH; five grandchildren, Olivia Listner, Vivian Listner, Dr. Matthew P. Yuskaitis and his wife, Libby Yuskaitis, Elizabeth Yuskaitis and her husband, Daniel Lorimor and Amie and her husband, Dr. Christopher Heatherton; six great grandchildren, Kevin, Ryan, Koa, Kai, Kimo and Malia.
A viewing will be held on Thursday at 8:45 A.M. August 8 followed by a mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 724 Main Street, New London, NH. Burial will follow in Elkins Cemetery.
