Helen's Obituary

Helen L. Pfeiffer, 95, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late George Pfeiffer, who passed away on Dec. 25, 2017. They celebrated 64 years of marriage. Born September 3, 1930, in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine (Stenga) Buzza. Helen worked at several places over the years, including McCrory’s, Penn Fruit, and Nester’s Sporting Goods. She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and also a former member of the CWV Post 454. Helen always had a smile on her face, was kind to everyone, and had a positive outlook on life. She enjoyed crocheting and polka music. Her faith was very important to her, and she loved to spend time with her family.

Survivors: sisters, Doris Potak and Frances Hewko; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by brother, Edward Buzza and sister, Barbara Pordan. 

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed, Nov. 26th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 4 S. 5th St., Coplay. Family and friends may gather on Wednesday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton. 

Memorial contributions may be presented to the church or the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Helen’s memory. Online condolences may be offered below.
