Obituary

Henry's Obituary

Henry Hale was born February 17, 1937, to the late Buford and Florence Hale in Prescott, Arkansas. He completed his earthly journey on Thursday, January 1, 2026. He was married to Lucille Marks Hale and to this union was born 3 children, Donna, Ronald, and Michael Hale. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Lonnie Hughes. He was educated in the Prescott School District.

Henry served his country in the United States Army for seven years and retired as a Specialist, marksman and sharpshooter after serving in Korea. After leaving Detroit, he later moved back to Arkansas, and was employed by L.J. Earnest Construction Co., and he also had his own business. He was also the president of the Boughton Horse Riding Club. Henry was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Florence Hale; brothers: Buford Jr., Willie Earvin, Ruben, Archie, Junior Lee; sisters: Violet, Maxine, and Cleo Hale; sons, Ronald and Courtney Hale.

Henry leaves to cherish his memory his son, Michael (Patsy) Hale, of Little Rock, Arkansas; daughter, Donna Hale of Douglasville, Georgia; sister Verda (Clyde) Anderson of St. Louis, Missouri; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends Ray Craven and Jerry Mitchell.

A Homegoing Celebration honoring Henry’s life will be held at 2:30 P.M., on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Boughton, Arkansas. A visitation will be held at Brandon's Mortuary in Hope, Arkansas on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 5 until 7:00 P.M.
