The Life of Henry Key, Sr.
Henry J. Key, Sr. was born Apri1 17, 1940 to Pearlie and Robert Key in Boyd, Alabama. Later he moved to Gary, lN. in 1955. He then moved to Evanston, IL. Where he attended Evanston High School. He is a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. Henry started his career at the Steel Mill for 10years. He then decided to drive trucks for a living. Henry always had a smile on his face. Henry Key, Sr. departed this life on March 09, 2021. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Pearlie and Robert Key, daughter Deborah Key, three brothers Jeffery Pearson, Joseph key, Willie Earl, sister Sandra Riley and grandson DeJuan
Key. Henry Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: Wife Lorraine Key, two daughters Bayanka Thomas and Tasha Bates, son Henry Key, Jr., three sisters, Ruthie (Otis J.) Bell, Emma Logan and Myra (Richard) Lewis, five brothers, Kenneth ( Beverly) Key, Floyd Mitchell, Marvin Collins, Darrell Pearson, and Kevin ( Elayne) Pearson; 2 aunts Daisy Key and Barbara Parker; eleven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Henry Sr. will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
