Not sure what to say?

My sympathy to all of Henry's relatives. I knew him in highschool and was kinda a jokester. But I am sorry. Hi Jenny & Brian.
From Bonnie Matthes Berglund

Sorry to hear about Henry's passing. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Wished I could attend the memorial service to have time to visit with the "Loew" families. But since I don't drive that far by myself anymore, I won't be able to. Henry and family will be in my prayers.

HENRY's Obituary

Henry “Hank” Albert Loew, 77,  Askov, MN, passed away on Thursday, October 9th, 2025 due to health complications after a medical procedure led to his unexpected passing.  Henry was born December 28, 1947 to Matt and Emogene Loew in Owatonna, MN as the youngest of 15 children.

The Loew family moved to Askov in 1957, where Henry lived his entire life. Henry attended Askov School graduating with the Class of 1966. He enlisted in the Army and served in active duty infantry for two years and separated as a Specialist 4th Class (SP 4) with an honorable discharge.

Henry and Lorraine met when they attended school in the 4th grade.  When Henry was in the service in Germany, the two started dating and writing letters.  On August 23, 1969, the two were married in Sandstone, MN, at the Catholic church. Henry worked for Johnson Brothers Construction, building bridges for over 20 years.

Henry was an original character.  He had a big heart, an infectious smile, and a sense of humor like no other.  He enjoyed many things in life: hunting, time in the casino, coffee at the Mermaid, mowing his lawn, walking around the flea market, Colorado hunting trips, and time with family.  Henry loved his grandchildren and taught them many life lessons. He was a proud member of the American Legion 0243 for over 25 years.  Henry was also a member of the Carpenters' Labor Union for 58 years.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents: Matt and Emogene Loew; his siblings: Lois Loew, Norma (Thompson), Delbert Loew, Margie (Michealson), Sylvia (Plunkett), Gertrude (Kloberedanz), Gloria (Peterson), William Loew, Jerome Loew, and Bonnie McClain; and his loving wife, Lorraine, of 44 years.

His five children will greatly miss Henry: Jennifer (Brian Barstad),Tara (Russell Kukuk), Danielle (Todd Lindstrom), Joe Loew (Dawn), and Amanda Loew.  His loving grandchildren: Emalee Lindstrom, Henry Loew, Logan Lindstrom, Brody Lindstrom, Olivia Loew, Noah Loew, Owen Loew, Ellie Loew, Ernie Kukuk, Vivian Bernhardt, and Olive Bernhardt.  His step-grandchildren: Brianna, Josephine, and Jacob Barstad; Jordan and Dawson Fjosne. His brothers: Bernie and Paul Loew; his sisters: Mary Ann Johnson and Carolyn Stellick.  His brother-in-law: Robert Paulsen; his sister-in-law: Karla Erickson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 10 am until the 11 am Memorial Service on Monday, October 27th, 2025 at the Askov Community Center.  Military Honors will follow the service.  After Military Honors, lunch will be served along with a time of fellowship with family and friends.
