Heribert's Obituaries

Heribert "Herb" Aumer, 91, of Ruffsdale, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Monday morning, July 12, 2021, at his residence. Herb was born May 30, 1930, in Atting, Germany, a son of the late Jakob and Anna (Limmer) Aumer. He married Lore S. (Scheuing) Aumer June 19, 1954, and she passed away on their wedding anniversary, June 19, 2015. Herb was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was a noted proprietor of Aumer's Meat Market, in Scottdale, for many years prior to operating a successful concession business. His love for horses and dogs was evident as he professionally trained haflingers and blue tics for many years. Years ago, he was an active member of the Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, in Youngwood. He was lifelong member of the Teutonia Mannerchor German Club of Pittsburgh. Herb will be sadly missed by his loving family; his six children, Herb K. Aumer and wife, Deb, Rick Aumer, Ted Aumer, Bob Aumer, Linda A. Mondock and husband, Hyme, and Jeff Aumer; his 11 grandchildren, Melissa Stahley (Reid), Kris Rosenberry (Denny), Jake Aumer, Dawn Marie Mondock, Teddy Mondock (Heidi), Michael (Tressa) and Kohl, Kurt, Tristan, Sarah and Olivia Aumer; his five great-grandchildren, Reid Andrew, Neil, Claire, Addison and Ryan; his sister, Hilde Seidl and husband, Erich, and his brother, Jakob Aumer, all of Germany; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Seger. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, 724-887-5300, http://www.fergusonfunerals.com, GPS: N40 degrees 06.136, W79 degrees 35.278.
