Aunt Minnie was the strongest woman I've ever known. So sad she's left us but also happy that she's finally free of pain and with God now. We'll always keep her in our hearts.

Hermina Minnie's Obituaries

Hermina "Minnie" Michki, 97, of Summerville, widow of Joseph Michki, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at her residence. Minnie was born on January 13, 1919 in Roebling, NJ daughter of the late Alex and Grace (Toth) Boytos. She enjoyed cake decorating, crocheting, knitting, and cooking. She was an active lifetime member of Hungarian Lodge and a member of St. John the Beloved Catholic Church. Minnie worked at a malleable plant in Terre Haute, IN for 20 years as a core maker, leaving the plant in 1962. She had lived in her home in the old Hungarian neighborhood since 1934, in the same home her maternal grandparents lived in. Later in life she moved to Summerville, SC to live near her daughter, Maryann Taylor.Surviving are: two children: Mary Ann Taylor of Summerville and Joseph A. Michki of Wichita Falls, TX; seven grandchildren: Tony Michki (Mary), Keith Michki (Denise), Jenny Michki, Steve Taylor, Cassandra Waddell (James), Stephen J. Michki, Jr. and Lisa Michki Jenks (James), eight great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one great great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her son, Stephen J. Michki, Sr. of Terre Haute, IN, son in law, George Taylor and daughter in law, Marge Michki; grandson: Lawrence E.
