Howard Junior Poling, Sr.Howard Junior Poling, Sr., 84, of Rowlesburg, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at home with family by his side.He was born January 15, 1931, in Thornton, a son of the late Harris and Stella Ada Owen Streets. He worked as a coal miner, in the sawmills and was also a black smith. Howard's favorite pastime was woodworking, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Iva Poling of 64 years, two daughters and spouses, Delorice Stemple and husband, Jimmy of Etam and Debra Carver and husband, Richard of Robbinsville, NC, four sons and spouses, Howard Poling and wife, Rebecca of Rowlesburg, John Poling and wife, Virginia of Beverly, Jerry Poling and wife, Lou of Rowlesburg and Thomas Poling and Kelly Shay of Marquess and fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.Family and friends may call at the Browning Funeral Home, Burke Chapel in Rowlesburg on Thursday, February 12, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and where services will be held Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11am with Pastor Jerry Dooley Officiating.
