Howard's Obituary
Ansonia: Howard Towne Jr., age 65, entered into eternal rest on April 8, 2017 at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Stella Gingras Towne.Mr. Towne was born in Greenfield, MA on Dec. 4, 1951, son of the Alice Matthews Towne and the late Howard Towne Sr. He was a mechanic for Shakers Lincoln Mercury – Family Ford for 25 years and was also a police officer for the Derby Police Department Auxiliary for 16 years. He also was a volunteer for the Young Marine of the Valley for many years.In addition to his wife Stella, he is survived by his children Howard F. (Heather Prall) Towne III, Brenda M. (Tom) Gagne and Christopher J. (Nicole Turcotte) Towne, his grandchildren Michael R. Frattalone, Thomas Gagne, Jacob and Joshua Gagne and Christopher Towne, his two great grandchildren, 5 brothers, 2 sisters and many nieces and nephews. Howard was predeceased by his two brothers.Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 5 -7pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR –OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver St. in Ansonia.
