Sending my condolences to you all. Knowing he is no longer suffering is a blessing but it doesn't make saying good bye easier. I often think of the times we used to turn the hay for Hubert. He'd give us 25 cents after. ( Thinking back.... I think he ripped us off ! )

It is with heavy hearts that the families of Hubert Samuel Payne announce his sudden passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre on Thursday, February 16th, 2017, at the age of 76 years.Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Lola, his children; Wavey (Dean), June (Martin), Dawn (Patrick), and Ford, his grandchildren; Caitlin (Johnny), Paul, Mercedes, and Gavin, his great grandchildren; Caleigh and Jonathan, his brothers; Locksley (Verna), and Riley (Millicent), his sisters; Matilda (George), Vivian (Gilbert), Melina (Bob), Prescilla (Bill), Clara (Bill), and Helen (Ralph), his home care worker Doreen Goosney, and his special sister-in-law; Rita Decker, Hubert was predeceased by his father and mother; Percy and Lily Catherine, his nephew; Dallas, and brother; Chris, also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends.The family will be receiving family and friends at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Parsons Pond, NL, on Saturday, February 18th, 2017, from the hours of 7-9 pm, and continuing on Sunday, February 19th, 2017, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Monday, February 20th, 2017, at 2:00 pm, with Rev Canon Terry Rose officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Parsons Pond, NL.To sign the guest book or send a message of condolence please visit our web page at www.parsonsfuneralhome.comThe funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
