Hugh Ryan Cooper Jr., "Booger" went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday August 19, 2022. He was 65 years old.Booger was born to Barbara and Hugh Cooper Sr. on Oct 11, 1956 in Midland TX. He attended Midland High School where he was an avid football player and quickly earned his nickname "sugar booger ". Booger met and married the love of his life Glenda in 1980 where they lived and raised 3 children Richard, Robert, and Kristy. Throughout his life he was very skilled; working in many areas on drilling rigs, welding, construction, and was self-employed for 30 years owning his own roofing and landscaping companies. There was never a job too big or small that he could not accomplish.
To know him was to LOVE him and to LOVE him was to LOVE the Dallas Cowboys. He never missed a game. Many would describe him as being funny, entertaining, and handsome. He could make anyone laugh. He enjoyed listening to music, watching football, working in the yard and often worked in his man cave building projects. He loved to dress up in his cowboy hat and shine his boots and he always had a joke or story to tell. The highlight of his life was his granddaughter Kensie. The two shared a birthday and had a special bond that could not be broken. They were simply the best of friends. The most memorable time being on Father's Day when they got to go fishing together. He was the best Son, Husband, Daddy and Papa and will be missed deeply by so many.Booger will be remembered with the greatest love and honor by his survivors, his wife of 42 years Glenda Cooper of Midland, daughter Kristy and husband Kevin Conklin of Midland, son Richard Duginski of Midland, mother Barbara Maxey of Midland, brother Jimbob Cooper and two sisters, Rhonda Pool and Debra Cooper of Midland, two grandkids Kensie and Klayton Conklin of Midland, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his father Hugh Ryan Cooper Sr., son, Robert Duginski and step-brother Rockey Maxey. Family will be receiving friends and family for visitation on Sunday August 28, 2022, from 1:00 PM- 9:00 PM, at The Heavenly Gate Funeral Home Chapel located at 405 N Terrell Street, in Midland.Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM at The Heavenly Gate Chapel.Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
