Ian,
I will always know you as my first, and best friend growing up. You and I had such a great fulfilling childhood which will remain with me forever. We were the "train track" kids or the "creek" kids. Spending our days after school catching frogs and turtles at the pond, building forts at the cinder piles, lighting off fireworks all year round, riding our bikes to wherever and anywhere we wanted to go. Listening to music in a basements, coloring our hair all sorts of colors, pulling pranks on so many, we had the fun young boys in grade school, middle school and high school are supposed to have. No cell phones, no technology, we had the best time. I´m so thankful that I had the childhood I had with you. I´m sorry that we drifted apart after high school but we shortly reconnected the last 2 years. The past 6 months talking to you for hours on the phone, about the old days, and the present and the future was so hard for me knowing that one day you would be gone. I miss you Ian. I will never forget you Ian. The picture below is us after middle school hanging out at Roma Pizza. You´re back left, im to the right.

Dug the ‘ol shoebox out of the closet and took out a pic of us from summer ‘98 at Tony’s. You were always the best one of us all. Thank you for always being that.

My sincerest condolences to the O’Donnell family. Ian was a very special person, who had a sensitive heart and a beautiful curiosity of the world. I first met Ian around 25 years ago when he befriended my brother Andrew and frequently visited our family home over the last decades. Over the years, Ian always offered me an ear to listen to and provided sage advice while I grew up. I’ll miss his kind smile, gentle spirt and his sense of humor.

Sharon, we have been so far away for so long, it's been many years since we've been together. But I wanted you to know that my heart goes out to you. No parent wants this kind of loss. Sending heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. Your cousin, Laurie

Tomorrow, Sharon and Rebekah, I am so sorry to hear about Ian. I still remember taking a bat and ball to the field by our houses (before the campus was built) with Ian, Erin and Rebekah. He is with Erin now looking down and watching over your family. One day you will be with both of them again. Until then, although it was too short, remember the time you had with both of them. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

Ian was a great guy. We spent hours hanging out in high school. He was a zesty and spunky dude. Much love to him and his family
