We worked together at the Naples Medical Center; Ilene was receptionist for the surgeon (Dr. Havig), and I was in the same office area. We had many uplifting conversations....the medical field is not the easiest. Sorry to learn of her death; I also remember her husband who was an auto mechanic, and I also met their daughter; very nice family. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Ilene Frances Snitchler, age 73, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Tampa, Florida. She was born on November 30, 1949 to Joseph A. and Ruth N. (Merritt) Swider. Ilene worked as a medical secretary, attended First Presbyterian Church in Lake Placid, and has been a resident of Sebring since 2014, having come from Naples, Florida. Ilene loved to help at the Sacred Heart Mission food pantry and her church. She was very active in her church. She is survived by her loving son – Joseph A. (Tracy) of Naples, Florida; daughter – Michelle L. Davidson of Lake Placid, Florida; sister – Thelma Pike. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren – Rebecca, Devon, Jackie, Lindsey Snitchler and Cole Davidson; 2 great-grandchildren. Ilene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband – Lewis Frank Snitchler.
